Why I wasnt at school on the day that Robyn More came to the school

On wednesday I wasnt at school because I had a terrible toothache and I had a hedache

What I am Doing For My Research

For my research im studiying ancient towns.

I will be researching clothes of the ancient towns

There is three people in my group me Brandon and Allira

Allira is doing most of the work but me and Brandon are helping in the resaerch

Athletics Carnival

Last Tuesday and Wednesday we had our athletics carival which is only twice a year.There are three house groups which students are put in. At the end of the two days the team with the most points win.I competed in the 100 metre sprint, the 100 metre relay,100 metre sprint final, triple jump,long jump and high jump. I got third in the 100 metre sprint,I got last in the 100 metre final, our relay team got second,im not sure what place I got in high jump, long jump,triple jump.

I had a great time and cant wait to do it again next year

Bikes

When It was my birthday I got a GT which is a good brand of bike but its not a very good bike, its got a small top tube which is the length of the bike frame and its a got a dull colour and heavy.

Just a week ago I got a new bike which is a Fit which is one of the better brands its lighter than my GT and I gave it a paint job which is awsome now I can do 360s on it

My Day Off

A while ago I had the day off to go to town to buy some new shoes which are AWSOME!!!  they’re Globe High Tops they were $140 then when I got home I went up to the skate park and practiced on my 180s.

I was there from 3.30 till 6

My Goals

My behaviour goal is to try to not talk to much when I’m in class and I need to be quiet, ill try very hard but it might just slip.

My home goal is to balance across the spine at the skate park on my bike which is supposed to be easy but its soooo scary if you fall you could brake something or worse DIE!!!!  but thats the worst case scenario.

My school goal is to try to get better at maths because i’m ok at my times tables but I need to get better at my subtracting, ill try to practice them maybe once a week at home and pay more attention in maths

Holidays

I the holidays I went to the skate park nearly every day. Someone came to the skate park almost as much as me and he taught me how to do the trick I wanted to learn how to do, a 360 on my BMX which toke a little practice put it toke me about four days to learn how to do. A lot of my friends stayed at my house over the period of the two weeks. I went in to town twice, once to do shopping and the other to hang with my friends. I had a great time over the holidays and I can’t wait till the summer holidays when the weather is great for riding the days are longer so i can ride for longer, it might seem that I’m addicted to riding my bike but it’s my hobby and I have nothing else better to do

My Goals For Next Term

My goals for next term are to get better at finishing my work such as getting better at maths but to get faster at the times tables. Something I want to learn out of school is to do a 360 on my bike which is just a complete spin and land it but that will be really hard and I will need to practice a lot. My behaviour goal is to try to not talk back to the teachers when they give me an order and to not get off task when I’m working, it will take time but I should be able to do it

What I Have Learnt This Term

This term I have learnt lots of things about blogs which has helped me this term in everything when we go on the computer.I have learnt a lot about the two world wars when we did our projects, which will help me at a later date because I might want to go to the army after I finish school.In maths I learnt about the area of a triangle and how to work it out and that will help me because I will have to do it in a maths test and that might give me a better mark. In health I learnt that the percentage of people who get injured by accidents each day has astounded me which will help me make better choices in stuff I do that might be dangerous.In sport I learnt how to do better at gymnastics which I like a lot and that will help my welleing because it will keep me fit.

Q: What is B.M.X

A: The sport of bicycle motocross began in 1970 in the state southern California. A bunch of riders who had bikes that were fit for off road use but started doing and making up tricks such as a tailwhip which is were you get a heap of air get one of your feet of the bike and spin the back of the around and land back on the bike. Now there are over 150,000 riders around the world from all different ages and skill levels.

Q:How Long Does It Take To Become A Professional Rider

A: It takes a very long time to be able to balance your body to the desired need, such as a grind first you need to be able to bunny hop as high as the rail,a bunny hop is a jump. Then there are manuals were you balance on your back wheel or your front wheel for a long period of time. A manual is used to transfer your tricks to make them more  appealing and to show more skill. There are countless amounts of tricks out there such as, can can were you get one of your feet and put it over the over side of the bike then put it back, a 180 where you jump and rotate the bike around, a 360 were you spin the bike around all the way then keep on riding, there are many many more but there isnt enough space on this blog page to tell you, hope you have fun with some of your new knowledge about B.M.X
